Got my new drag link installed last night. Re-installed the center pin on lunch break. Took it for a quick spin through the neighborhood and the steering is now like a new car!

Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Checked the new key that I had made at BAP in the ignition barrel. IT WORKS, so I installed it. No more screw driver.
Also hauled all the extra Bay seats and parts down to the barn with "Cash Cab". Took 3 trips and he was full each trip. Then swept out the garage and parked him inside.
Bout to take a shower and crash!

Ok, what's the deal with the trike? You looking to move this one or keep it?
Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Trike is already gone. It was the whole reason to make the deal. My Dad has been wanting it for over a year. I finally had something that the guy wanted so we traded.

Figured you'd say that. My dad has one that I spent my entire vacation on earlier this month. Now I would love to get my hands on one.
Here's my dad's, great fun to ride.
Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Still working on the 60 for Ron. I have put a ton of hours in it over the past few weeks. We had already gotten the doors, hoods, and fenders painted a week or so ago but we ended up having to repaint all the fenders due to dirt contamination that we couldnt wet sand and buff out. Sunday I blasted under the hood and etch primed it. Today I scuffed it, cleaned it, tacked it, and Dad sprayed it.

Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Thanks guys! I hope it turns out pretty good!
I picked up these at a local antique shop today. I paid more than I usually do for suitcases but the set was just too cool.
Also prepped the dash and a-pillars and Dad painted it.

Still moving......either need to swap for a single cab, or get more Bungee cords!
Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Spent a few days in the woods with my son's Scout Troop.
Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Had a poker run participant break a rocker arm securing clip. Got him back on the road with zip ties. Redneck engineering, but it saved him from having to quit the run and tow it to Elijay. No pics. Didn't want to embarrass him.
Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
I got a brake pedal now. Still have to get my engine stuff together and get it in.

Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Might not sound like much, but I got my gauge lights to work this weekend. I then had to fix the turn signal/oil pressure idiot light wire that crumbled in my hand when I touched it. The wiring in this car is in pretty bad shape. Also cleaned a couple jets and fixed an exhaust allowing for the car to run better. It ran like crap when I got it with a very bad dead spot right off idle making it pretty hard to drive.
