Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Tough to say. Don't think there's a set ammount of time but, when you leave the house, the daily is the car you get in every time without thought. I'd say a month is a good ammount of time....so 15 more days (5 working days a week) would qualify in my book.peregrine67 wrote:So how many consecutive days do you have to drive a car before it becomes a "daily driver"?
Since rebuilding the front end I'm up to 5 days in a row and over 100 miles total.

the daily is the car you get in every time without thought. To me this is the key you drive it every day

Glenn, you are the only DD in this group that puts more miles on your aircooled than me!
Since Oct. '10(Oct 22, 2010 to be exact) I've put about 24k mls on "Geek"
Driving to Gulf Shores, Al. next week to meet the wife for "Spring Break"
Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Y'all have set the mark pretty high for me. I'll try to step up to the challenge.
Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
I think I have put about 5or 6 thousand miles on the vert since jan. All the trips to atlanta and then to work and macon add up fast

Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
I have somewhere in the the area of 80k on the Jolly Rancher since I got it on the road. The mileage accumulation has slowed in the last two years since I've had other dubs to drive. I just rolled past 60K on the odometer of the rebuilt speedo I put in there about 4 years ago. By the end of June, It'll be somewhere over 70k after the trip to Cali and back.

I'm at just over 4,000 for about 1 year of driving, I put 3000 on it last summer. I take it to work every day but it's 20 miles round trip

Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
We've had Willy since the end of August 2010 and have put 28,000 miles on up to now. He is my DD and like Glenn said I get in that car every morning, noon or night without a thought! And I can't wait to drive my bug some more tomorrow!
Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
I've had my bus since 1996 but have unfortunately lost track of overall miles. Guess it wasn't important to me in HS or College to keep track or remember. But the first few years of owning it i would drive it from Nevada to S. Cal and drive up and down the coast going camping and to vw shows. Put on alot of miles in those days. I know since i have owned it the odometer has rolled over once and now reads 74K so i would guess the total would be at least 100+K.

I sprayed Kerm's wheels with Rustolieum via an HVLP gun.
Thinned just a little it sprays really well.
