Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Fixed the fuel inlet on java's carb. Tapped it back in and a little green loctite. Now I have got to find my safety wire.
Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Installed a new preheat hose, semi-straightened the bumper, replaced leaky fuel pump on the Jolly Rancher.

Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
I have been working on the bus the past few days. I tightened up the loose drum that was making all kinds of noise, wired up the reverse lights, fixed the dome lights, wired up the cigarette lighter and cleaned up the wiring in the dash that went no where in the bus. Getting closer to having everything working again on it.

Started making my header for my turbo. Also started repairing my wheel wells. Oh, did I mention I bought another single cab? This one is RUST FREE!
Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Yep, I have most the panels already to fix it. I will have to do some figuring to come up with a price.Attorney Isaiah Loophole wrote:You want to sell the other single?

Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
On schedule for today and tomorrow:
Tune-up oil change on Pippi. If I feel really motivated I'll change the CV boots.
Install the body gasket and finish getting Judy bolted back together.
If you're in the area stop by.

I picked up one of the coolest coolers I have ever seen today....at least to me....Best part was it was free. My brother-in-law works for QT Kitchens and got it as an annual gift and didn't want it!
Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
played with my welder a little (the same welder i got from u MeinVW, u thought the duct tape was ghetto, u should see it now, XD. still works tho). welded up some small rust holes on the body behind the cresent vents behine the side windows on my 74 super. in the middle of welding the foam behind it caught on fire. didn't care, kept welding, lol. eventually it all burned out so i shouldn't have to worry bout that damn foam causing any more rust.

Thats awesome!
Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Finished my turbo header. Gonna make a stainless trim ring for the body around the exhaust. Now I need to make my intake system.
The motor is just for mock up. I have a 2165 going in it. This motor is a good running complete 1600 sp if anyone wants one. $600.00.

No urban myth there, if you left them on the front of your car, it would ruin the paint- I lived in Savannah, we didn't get them as bad as Florida, but you had to wash them off fast or your paint would get destroyed
