i finally got my computer up and running again, after 3 or 4 days being with out it. in that time, i haven't gotten a whole lot done on my 72 super. i got the new MOFOCO 042 heads installed, along with the right sized chromoly pushrods, and ratio rockers. so its officially a long block, lol. it really sucked when i got the heads and everything on, and then had to take it all back apart because i forgot to install the damn cylinder air deflectors that go clipped under the cylinders to the studs. anyhoo, got it all together tonite, and will hopefully get the tins, and everything together by the end of tomorrow..... well its almost 12:30, so i guess i should say, i should get the motor mostly together much later today, hahaha

My kids live, and go to school, in City of Decatur... the roads are rough out there. I see why Bobby drives a Baja to his shop most of the time.

Spent 1 hour trying to put together my Just Kampers tent for the westy.
They sent the wrong instructions - Darn British...
Any way I have like 6 posts and 100 stakes that do not seem to go to any thing....
Any one ever put one of these up before? Mine is the Hamburg model.
I got it up (with no instructions...) and as a Mechanical Engineer I can authoritativly state that this thing is a PAIN to put up the first time.

I have helped put one in but don't recall the parts you speak of. Do you have pictures? It's a very esoteric procedure but there may be a few on here that have some experience. If you had picture, I might remember or could run out and check mine.

Finished installing the bumper guards and replaced the crank pulley. The stock pulley had some surface corrosion and was eating the belt big time! Black dust all over the engine. Should have seen that happening sooner.

Well, it seems i have another problem with my 72 super. i installed the motor, and not the car isn't getting power. i turn the key, and NO idiot lights, and it doesn't crank. but the hazard light work, and the headlight seem to work. the yellow lights come on, but the headlights themselvs dont (not sure if they are supposed to with the ignition off tho). anybody have any ideas on what it could be?

oh, and i changed te battery with the one from my other bug (brand new battery), and still the same.

thanks
