What did you do to your volkswagen today?

Drove the HULAWGN up to stockornaut on mon the 4th. It was 18 friigggginnn degrees, heat works but the holes around the pedals overcame the heat on the 2 hr drive! Billy's building a custom beam and replacing front floor sections cos I got no welding skillz. Going to look BAD A?? when it's done.

Put the shift knob I got from Jeff and a new oil pressure switch in Java.

Then more gifts came in the big brown truck......

Made roadside repairs this morning, headlights went out. High beam relay which I think is the cause of other electrical issues I'm having.

Well today was not one of my best. Some of you guys know about my little run in with a old lady that ran me in to the sidewalk couple weeks ago. Well today I had to take one of my rear fenders off do to a run in with another old lady on her cell phone in a parking lot. Yes she just back into me and push my fender onto my back wheel. But this time I had to call the cops.guess what grandma doesn't even know what's insurence. But I will ride the havoc with three fenders if I have to

yup the rear passenger side. I have a pair of fenders already. I'm going by a friends shop to see if it can be fix in the morning. Thanks

I think the legislature needs to pass a law outlawing cell phone use while driving, unless you're on handsfree, some states already have laws in place.

Ok this is crazy but there telling me I'm going to have to take her to court or her son who the car name is in. Well i'v been at the body shop all day my friend is trying to get it fix but really trying to get it done for next weekend for the AIRCOOLED ADDICTS cruise to beetles BBQ. but I always got the GHIA to ride in if my wife will let me LOL!!!!

De- chromed the 71 today. Also took the front turn signals off. Getting ready to fill in the holes on the fenders.

On another note..worked on the 58 panel today as well. Finished cleaning it out and the floor is not bad at all. I also unlatched the safaris and they popped right open. It is going to need a good bit of welding on the bottom of the doors, bottom of the nose, bottom of the panel doors. This is not going to be a quick get on the road job.

I have the Bug-A-Paluza dead line to get the 71 german look ready for the show.

It's looking real good. The HAVOC shell be on the road no later than 5pm tomorrow. My friend is really doing a great job and we didn't have to use the other fender. It was not that bad and he's been working on it all day. All that has to be done is shoot some paint. But I'm feeling alittle better now. But someone is getting this bill.

Malik, I hate to hear you got hit, That sucks. I got the engine back in, the rear hatch painted and installed, wheels back on and cranked it and drove Gumby today.

Finished the electronics upgrade on the bus.

It's all coming together I might be able to even ride the havoc tonite. Hoping the paint goes well and we can get everything back on in time to make that run down peachtree city for there Friday nite hangout.
