Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Rebuilding the front suspension on my 72 with topline stuff, and made me a dual caliper set-up. I needed to test out my new welder, and this was the only thing I could think of to test it on :I Normally the tierod would interfere with the caliper, but since I already flipped them with flip it bushings, it wasn't an issue

Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Thanks. I just hope my master cylinder can push enough fluid to all 6 calipers. The stock one seemed to work fine for 4 calipers, so the bigger one should be ok for 6. I even got some of those braided stainless steel teflon hoses, so no rubber hose expansion. But I guess ill find out soon if it works, XD

I hit and drug a possum in the front beam of the SP2.
Finally had to stop and back up to get it out.
That's a great sound.

why spend $1300 on a 4 piston kit, when I can make the same for less then half the cost, XD. And I sometimes pull a pop up that has a weird torsion arm suspension, that can't have brakes added, and could use a little extra stopping power . Plus I've always had the idea, so figured this was a good time to go for it. If it doesn't work, or I have problems, all I gotta do is just yank off a caliper, and change the lines. nothing wasted cept for an hour of welding. I can always use the calipers for one of my many other projects

I went to Lilburn Auto on Lawrenceville Hwy- we send them about 8 or 10 vehicles a week to alignment- they even adjusted the rear so the car tracks straight- I can let go of the steering wheel now and the car doesn't pull to either side, and it seems to ride and handle better-
