Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Changed the oil, adjusted valves and brakes, and cleaned up the undercarrage.
Just a clean up inside and out later this week and it'll be ready for YU.

Gutted the inside of the westy. Lots of work but very simple. Took out the seat behind the driver and found a air conditioning set up. I didn't think that black box behind the driver was heat. Any idea if they have value?

Michael, Stephen, Reuben and I worked on Stephen's Ghia, Jazmine- we used a bicycle brake cable to snake the steel fuel line through the pan- then reinstalled the tail pipe that fell off during the test ride

It was about 4 years old. The pin on the old pump was only pressed in. The new pump has clips on it to hold it in.

Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Worked on doing some stuff to the bug that I've been meaning to do for a while. Finally put a new condenser and points on my 009 and put it back on the engine and put the 034 back under the seat to keep as my spare. I think the 009 went bonkers on me about 15 months ago as I was heading over to Phillips house so I put the 034 in, and I procrastinated ever since.
Also fixed my wolfsburg mudflaps on the bug. One had cracked and almost broke completely in half. Can't find them anymore so I made a bracket to hold the to halves together and hopefully keep it from breaking all the way. I only procrastinated about 5 months for this repair! Maybe I can get a little more life out of it.
Finally, washed and cleaned the inside of the bug so it'd look presentable at the show. Still got to try and make a bracket for my plate topper.

Really?
How was it applied? and where did you find it in that quantity?

Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
It's plasti dip in a rattle can. I had to order it off of Dipyourcar.com for that neon color but I have seen black, white and yellow at lowe's in a spray can. It's pretty cool stuff to play with.

Thanks for the info!
Never seen it, but never looked either. I really can think of some neat uses for that stuff.
