What did you do to your volkswagen today?

I pulled the engine and stereo out of George and said my goodbyes. Then picked up my new beast of a baja. Promptly broke down on the way home. Must have picked up some trash in the carb. I'll figure it out tomorrow.

Did you pick up that monster yellow and white one? I saw it for sale.

Finished troubleshooting wiring, and started it for the first time in a month, fired right up!

I was getting underneath the car to adjust my valves last night when I noticed a huge puddle of transaxle fluid underneath the car. After putting it up on the lift, found out the passenger side axle boot had a huge gash in it. Thankfully, I was able to get another set of boots today, even with a lot of businesses being closed.

Thanks. I was just glad that it was a simple fix. When I saw the puddle at first, I feared the worst and hoped that it wasn't coming from where the engine and transaxle connect. 

Finished the tune-up by adjusted the points, timing, and the carb.

Tightened clutch cable and drove it!

And ordered a Bosch svda to replace the uh o nine.

Ordered new door window to convertible frame seals for it to stop the loss of heat and the whistle when driving...

Installed my Hella H4 kit in the beetle... can't wait to see what it looks like tonight.

Replaced the wheel cylinders and brake shoes on the back of Crusty, my Squareback

I went sledding with it on the way home from work....

i knocked the snow off of them

Went and picked Ashley up from work yesterday evening around 7......50 miles round trip in the Sno-cone bus.....had a little traction problem near her work but nothing a little push didn't cure....road was in pretty bad condition with lots of ice and I couldn't see a line anywhere

Drove it to work today........me and the 4X4s.  

Took a run to procure 'adult' provisions. Was glad at least 1 store was open!

Thankfully the roads were thawed enough to drive it to work. 

Went for a small drive... had to call my wife to come get me... battery died and had to get a jump... nothing like getting a jump from the wife!

With all of the idling my battery went dead on the way home in the ice storm. I got a jump from a nice woman.  

Picked up a used front beam to rebuild for scooter to replace his rusted out shock tower holes



Now on to rebuilding it.

got the window to vert frame seals installed in the Ghia.
What a pain. Is any thing easier on a Ghia than a bug or is it all harder...
