Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Billie would have got it right the first time if he wasn't jacked up on that mountain water! The Green Jug Juice.

Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
today i did some paint stripping on my bug. found some very light rust spots underneath. found one pea-sized rust hole. nothing major i'm actually susprised how little rust there is. hopefully soon i won't have the worst looking VW at the airhead sonic meets. but for now, i'm the guy who makes everyone elses VW's look better by comparison ....... ......... ...... ...........

Awesome pictures, post more pictures because my wife likes the bus and this is the only way I can try to make her see the before and After of the bus I am going to get this week.
Even though your bus is flawless, you could try and put some 35% window tints on the back windows and it will make it look even better.

Thanks. It actually use to have tinted windows but I took it off. I like this one better without the tint.
Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Billie came by this weekend and we set the toe-in and camber on my new front end. (Well good enough to get to an alignment shop) We checked my tie rod ends and they feel tight so I'll use them as is.
My buddy George came by today and we bled the new disc brakes.
I ordered caster shims, new shocks (KYB GR-2's), 3/4" sway bar for a narrowed front beam, Mexie Beetle hood and deck lid seals and a new steering damper.

Heater cable is locked so I can't turn on the heat. Crawled under yesterday and wired the flaps on the heater boxes open, was much better driving to work today with heat.
Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
I installed Seat Belts, yeah seat belts. Bout time huh. Cut up the wire loom that Glen donated to the cause and got those ready to install for my blinker and city lights. I'm planning on moving my regulator under the rear seat like later years. Will install my new intake when UPS brings it tomorrow. Other than that I've been keeping the f'ing cats off it and walking by it!

I was always told that's how you can tell if a VW has oil in it - if it's not dripping you need oil.
Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
I put new points in and Gary adjusted the timing for me. Thanks Gary

Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
i put together my turbo kit, and bought all new hoses, clamps, etc. Already assembled it. and added the fittings on the motor for the oil lines to the turbo. all i got to do is throw it on the engine, and drill a hole in my valve cover to screw in the fitting for the return line. hopefully i'll do that tommorow. and hopefully it will run good (and i hope i wont have to do too much jetting).

Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Got my parts in today, installed the intake (all steel). Still have a small oil leak, well I really didn't drive far, but I will drive to work tomorrow. I'll know then. I've missed driving my car, they are so much fun!!!! I forgot that I upgraded my headlights, I can see farther down the road now!
Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?

I got some off eBay, 25.95 shipped. H3 bulbs were included and city lights. Will get rid of the blue city bulb, can't stand that.
