Throttle cable tube, pan to shroud
I'm working on my Type 181's throttle cable and found the flexible guide tube from the pan to the fan shroud has about 4 inches of deflection (bow). The bow is similar to what is supposed to be present on the clutch Bowden tube. Should a throttle cable guide tube have any deflection? I suspect not and it may be causing part of the problem I'm having. Thanks.

Re: Throttle cable tube, pan to shroud
Pete, the throttle tube on my Thing lays on the frame and then the top of the transaxle. It curves up to the cable tube coming thru the shroud. It doesn't look like it adds much tension, just determines the angle of the cable.
