I think my front clutch cable tube mount is broken. Scooter shifts fine, but I'm getting a weird squeaky spring stretching sound, when I step on the clutch, in the tunnel by the pedals and I'm getting a shutter when I let out on the clutch from first gear, only first gear and it seems to be getting worse over time. What do yall think?

My 66 did the same thing. It was my center weld that had popped loose in the tube. Then the one next to the pedal went. Someone had half ass fixed it before me so a access panel was already cut. No easy to fix it as far as I know. Cut and weld.

What we call the in the biz the drug smuggler. Easy repair with a welder. best to strap it and keep from burning holes in the tube. Make a nice clean hole so u can tack a cover over it or weld in nuts  or install rib nuts and make a removable cover. Best to bore scope it to make sure where tube is broken cut once. I have seen plenty of crappy pedal sets out there also. Good luck

Well I'm still not sure. The middle looks good. It's hard to see the rear. I haven't got a chance to look at the front.

Well, all of the welds are in place. The return spring is new as well as the throw out bearing arm. I noticed that that there was not a lot of bend in the Bowden tube. It was very difficult to remove the Bowden tube from the body side  I recall when I previously put on the new Bowden tube that the end of the clutch tube was bent out of shape, it was like that when I got it and I straightened it the best I could. I think it settled in deeper on the body side after 3000 miles and lost its sag. I re greased the cable added some washers to give it more sag and it seems to be better. I have to drive it some more.

I had to add several washers to mine to get the sag right.
