Vintage bikes and Vintage Vdubs October 8, 2011

After the Gas show yesterday, a few of went to Jason's shop, around the corner from Homegrown, and come up with an idea to have a vintage bike and Vdub cruise at the Silver Comet Trail in Hiram. I would like some input from you guys as to when and if you guys would like to do this. My thought was to meet up in Hiram at the Silver Comet Trail ride the bikes on the trail for a while the maybe cruise to the local Mellow Mushroom for pizza afterwards. What does everyone think?

I think it will be a blast!! As long as it doesn't conflict with any of the shows, I will be there!

That sounds good, should be a little cooler by then. Perfect bike riding weather.....

I'd be down but no idea how I'd get my bike there been working on an idea for a deck lid bike rack but havent gotten anything going on it any ideas would be awesome.

yep, back when I was riding a lot, I used to always have a bike rack on the decklid of my old 67. Could tow around a couple of heavy bmx bikes with no issues at all.

The Silver Comet is right outside my apartment door- literally. Theres an area for grilling and other heathen feasts outside there too.We could cook out/grill instead of 'shrooming.....not that I'm shroom bashing, just making a suggestion.
Theres a pool too! (Do I hear someone yelling "CANONBALL!!!")

Love the idea. October is a busy month for me but I am sure I can work this in.

A roof rack and zip ties. We do it all the time. Just sit the bike uprite on the outside side of roof rack zip tie the frame pedals etc. Drove to Daytona winter jam 3times with mine like this.

Seaboard will the a good meeting location big lot there.Don bit of a lease violation on your idea , good one one though.

Vintage replica's should be considered too. It will help make it easier for some folks,the old ones are hard to find.
