2nd Vintage bikes and Vintage Vdubs date change again, October 27, 2012

After speaking with Steve at ProFlow, He is racing on the 23rd of September. Therefore he will not be able to hold the Vintage Bike And Vintage Vdubs at his facility on the 22nd. After looking at his schedule and the other show dates, we are going to move this event to the 27th of October. It will be cooler then and we can also have a Halloween theme. If your children would like to dress up in their costumes we will have candy to hand out. Sorry for any inconviences this has caused. Looking forward to having everyone out. See you there.

I will smoke some butts and whip up my home made bbq sauce. I assume its the same as last year as far as sides go Tim...? I will smoke and chop the meat the night before the event. Buns and drinks ??? What you suggest on food stuff Tim?

What anyone wants to bring out. We'll bring a couple bowls of that famous potato salad. Suggestions would be chips, coleslaw, small amount of baked beans(Don), Drinks, coolers of ice, plates and cups, desserts, etc. Send me a pm and I'll add you to the list below so we don't have a bunch of doubles.

Randy-Cole slaw and Chips
Carl and Deb-Chips and corn salsa

Some tunes would be a nice addition this year.

Well, unfortunatley I'm going to be missing the fall CYW show this year. Any idea what time this one will be happening? I think the Union City Heritage VW party was supposed to be happening on this day as well. Maybe everybody can hit both and get a days worth of cook-out grub to fill there belly. Not sure what time the Heritage thing is happening though. Depending on what time I get back in town from vacation I'm probably going to end up missing both

Okay with the Heritage Show already on the calender, What does everyone think of doing this the fourth Saturday of September? The Dallas Cruise in is also that night. That would be the 22nd.

I say just leave it alone hopefully it will be a little cooler too by then but regardless we will be there just my 2 cents

Well Tim I guess leaving the date the same or moving it depends on how many folks you want to get out to it. We know that if its on the same day as a different event that the risk of low attendance is high. I would go for the date change just to insure a good turnout like last year. I Vote on the Date change so there's enough mouths for the food.

I'll be moving the date up to September 22, 2012 from 11:00A.M. to 5:00P.M. Afterwards we'll be cruising up to the Dallas Cruise In.

I talked with Hiram City Hall the other day about getting the street shut down to through traffic. They informed me that to have an outside event, we would need to get a permit. That permit will cost me $50. On top of that, I would need to talk with the Chief of Police of Hiram in order to get them to block the road. I have to get the property owner to sign a letter in front of a Notary Public and a plat showing the area of the event. This is an expense not expected. I still need to talk with ProFlow about all of this. As of right now everything is still up in the air. I'll keep y'all posted.

I have a cool little Schwinn. It has a basket also. I will post some pics tomorrow of what we have.

Tim as long as the route is shown they shouldnt need anything more if they require permit. If they charge a fee Im sure everyone would be willing to pay a small fee for the lunch and cover the extras.
