New Guy in Rome and New to Vdubs

Just wanted to say Hi. Bought my first vdub about 3 weeks ago an have been steadily wrenching on it since i got her.. I have wanted a baja since i was in high school. My f150 died and i had a few buck in the bank so i spent looked for 3 months till i found my baja, Shes a 70 model with a single port 1500cc. New paint, newish rebuilt, new interior, Since i got her i have rebuilt the 30 pict2, installed a new coil, installed a cd player and a few speakers, hew heat exchangers and cables, new speedo cable, and re indexed the passenger rear torsion bar, installed a new ignitions switch..
Needless to say im in love with my vdub.. The best part is my wife and my kids have been out there with me every time im wrenching on it.. When i rebuilt my carb i was on crutches due to a torn mcl.. My wife removed the carb for me and we rebuilt it in the kitchen on the table.. I have verry limited knowledge, i have the idiot book and ask alot of question of the vdub guys at work or on the samba. Here are some of the pics..
