I'm definately going to Renolds on Sunday but I'm considering heading up to Circle Yer Wagens for Saturday. I have a four day weekend and my participation depends on me getting the bus back off the jack stands and the gas situation. I would like to go to that show just because I haven't been to it yet.

I am heading up early Saturday morning.
I am not going in my Bus, brake problems.
I am taking my Nissan truck so I can gather parts.

Hi Billie, good to meet you last week at Bugs at the Branch.
We are planning to head up to CYW at the weekend, looks like a great drive thru the Smoky mountains, but one I'd like to do in daylight and in convoy! It's be a good warm-up for Bug Jam too! Talking of which, what day are you planning the cruise down to FL? Pete can take the Friday off but only half of monday.

What time this Saturday for CYW?

Decided I'm not going to make this one. The gas situation hasn't recovered yet. Maybe next year.

Hey guys! Looking forward to the trip on Saturday! Call me when you leave so we can meet up.

We are leaving on Thursday for bug jam. We will leave after work and drive half way and camp. We will get up Friday and finish the trip. Then start home on Sunday afternoon and drive halfway and camp. Drive the rest of the way Monday morning. Hope we can get together and cruise as a pack!

Great show. Over 170 cars on Sat. Campers and swappers were everywhere. I had to sell new parts between two used parts guys, because they ran out of room on new parts row. New this year was the "water torture" competition- where they had people drive their sandrail through an obstacle course- with a full cup of water between their legs. Whoever had the most water left in their cup after the run won. I didn't get to watch, but it sounded pretty funny over the loudspeaker.

The drive up 441 through the national forest is absolutely breathtaking. Mountain views that make you feel really small. Average speed through the forest is 20-50mph. Perfect setup for a VW cruise.

Clyde... you must have been hiding. We arrived Sat PM and stayed through Sunday? Didn't think I drank that much

Did the mountian run in the bus - fabulous views and perfect for a cruise.

Thanks to the AVWA for a great show - first time for us but I think not the last. Found a bunch of parts that had been missing from the bus and finally got a second set of keys (after 5 years) - and even better the door and ignition now match

And the weather spot on... fab weekend!

We just missed each other. I left Sevierville at 6pm Sat. I needed to come home and give my wife some reprieve from the kids.
