Brake lights and tail lights working. One of my concerns was the brake lights. Can mark that off my list now.

In the vid the left brake light doesn't come on, that's because I had it disconnected when I was troubleshooting the Right brake light.

After the drive I got my drivers front fender bolted on. Sanded and primed the deck lid and sanded down the pass fender.

With having family in town this week I didn't get done what I really needed to get done so it doesn't look like I'm making Reynolds. Not giving up yet, I think I should have the fenders and doors on by then but the turn signals are going to be a problem.

Turn signals are overrated any way........................ Twisted Evil

I used to use hand signals with my '47 chevy truck and I always was a little unnerved when they would wave back when I signaled a right hand turn.... Shocked

Once again, didn't get as much done last night as I had hoped.

Finished the drivers door, bolted the deck lid on.

No I'm using the same old seats. The red covers for them are actually in pretty good shape I just need to have the wife help me stretch them out and stitch on some snaps or something to get them to cover a little better.

Well, didn't make Reynolds, but close. I put in a lot of hours on the bug this weekend. Will outline it and put up pics tomorrow.

Started out Saturday by getting some 195/60/15 for the rear, they clear better than the 205/65s but not by much. I don't think I can put the boys in the back seat. Got the pass fender painted, the hood sanded down, the license light painted and installed.

Sunday got the pass fender installed, lights all hooked up and turn signals working. Installed the new steering wheel I got from Muffler bearing, Painted the hood and hood hinges, got the hood and running boards installed, the license light hooked up. All lights are now working except for reverse lights that I can live without. Made my own license plate mount as there wasn't one on this deck lid.

Bolted the pass door on, isn't sanded or painted yet but oh well. Drove the car up to the grocery store what fun. It's a little stiff, but ran pretty good. I plan to drive it to work tomorrow (20 miles) and see how she does. I'll get pics up then.

Made it to work. Gotta get a gas gauge. I knew it was low and was heading straight to the gas station this morning but didn't make it. Had to get the wife to bring me the gas can.

I hope so but gotta get a few more things ironed out first. The drive to work is about as far as I would feel comfortable taking it right now.

I gotta raise it up a little bit. I don't want it all the way back to stock but it is too low and the ride is terrible.

Looks great Eric!

The terrible ride is probably due to it being lowered with adjusters only....ball joints are probably bottomed out...

I think the ride is do to the adjusters being all the way down also. I'm going to raise the front up a bit and put on new ball joints and then take the car to Billie and have him raise the rear an outer spline.

Ordered new ball joints and drums for the front today. Need to get that beam up a bit and new ball joints on before I drive it any more. Hopefully this weekend. Then to schedule time with Billie to raise the back a click and I think I will be set as far as drive ability, then it is just putting the interior together nicely so the wife doesn't mind riding in it.

It's been awhile since I've updated.

Got the front up a little and put a new hub and bearings on the pass side along with new shoes. Beings I don't know how to raise the rear I added bump stops that the rear is now riding on. Not ideal but it keeps the rear off the back tires. It's now my daily driver.

Oh yeah, installed the CD player and speakers today also, so I have tunes.
