no not givng up, just got word of my destination for the next year or so. I think ill just store it, I just want to test the waters, right now im working on getting out of this deployment. My wife cant drive a stick to well yet and trading the GLI in is just not a good deal i would lose so much on that, but i did get my hands on a free 88 thunderbird 5.0l just needs a little work to make it reliable im thinking h.o. conversion so my wife can eat some ricers for breakfast.

dont worry this is not even close to the end of my aircooled addiction I am 26 still young and plenty of ac veedubs out there for the picking I LOVE THESE CARS!!!!! my price is high on the car and that means im not even trying to sell it, I even updated the ad and put at the end that I will not sell toby to anyone if I think they dont know what they are doing.

Found out im not leaving anywhere for another year and half, also an awsome deal on a better house to rent fell in my lap so ill be relocating to douglasville right off of ridge rd/bob hunton rd/cohran st rd. it has a garage, no more carport anyone close by?

Yep - I am at 92 and Brownsville/Sweetwater.

I should be all moved in beginning of Feb if all goes right, can't wait to have a garage to work on Toby in this will be one of the nicest houses i have ever lived in, split level two car garage with a den right next to the garage... the man room pre-wired for surround sound and what not, above the garage is the rest of the house, only $55 more a month than what I pay now, but just a little further from work bout 28 miles total. Once I get moved in and settled Tobys gonna get some major upgrades, stay tuned.

Took the wheels off so i can take them to my shop, remove the tires and then drive to cartersville to meet Clint so we can trade then back to the shop install the tires on the new chromies and put them back on the bug all in one day, man i'm good

is there any safety devices needed in Toby to make him safe for flight? I can get my hands on all the proper navigation equipment and beacons needed to enter civilian air spaces you now the basics I have good eyesight i promise

Bah! We'll just certify it as an "Expetimental" and you don't need any of that stuff. Just slip the inspector a couple hundreds and have him submit the paperwork.

Traded the centerlines for chrome mangels made is brazil did some finishing touches at the shop today, I like the new look... what do you all think

Looks better to me man. I traded my black wheels for some of those.

Everyone has different taste. I liked the centerlines better.


I too have centerlines so I'm prejudice toward them.

I liked the centerlines too, just wanted to try something new... I am going for the old school drag look. I have decided to paint it flint grey so IMO this would look better with the OG color.
