Join us for the Season Opener for the East Coast's Premiere Drag Racing Series in Georgia on Sunday March 20th.

Held at Silver Dollar Raceway in Reynolds, Ga.
Just two hours South of Atlanta and an hour from the Columbus, Ga area.

All VW Car Show, Drag Racing and Swap Meet.

Swap meet is only $35 for a 10x10 space and includes one entry.
Show cars are $10(doesn't include gate fee)
Admission $15 (12 and Under Free)
Gates open at 8am
Racing starts at 11

Cruise-In Steak and Shake in Warner Robins Saturday afternoon starting at 4pm
Free Camping at Track on Saturday night. Times TBA

This event will be here before you know it! Looks like we will be having some special giveaways from our local VW shop bugeyed, plus a possibility of them having an open house again.
   We are looking to bring more for this event, any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
   What about a local area charity that we can raise money for?
   Would you like to see our normal Top 20 with special awards or just misc different awards like Best beetle, type 2 etc?

A little over 2 months away! We want to hear from you about this event. What would you like to see for the show car area? Currently we have top 25 with special awards. This event is for YOU and we want to make it as enjoyable as possible.

I would like to see more cars racing. My favorite part of the show, but has been less and less.

I have thought about this show a lot and have tried to think out of the box for a creative idea and the only semi good idea I have come up with is.....if you pay to show your car then if you want you can have one grudge race against anyone else that is willing and also showing their car......that would get more cars racing

I like that idea! I don't care if they are race cars or not, I just like to see VWs going down the track. I have heard many people remark that they no longer go to this show because there aren't enough VWs racing.

Grudge matches would bring more of the crowd into the races.

Totally understand guys! And you are not the only ones that would like to see more drag cars out and about racing! We have done everything we can to get the racers to come to Ga, but It just hasn't happened.
As for as the grudge racing for the show cars, we don't see a problem with doing that at all. I will get with the track to make sure there isn't anything extra we need to do to secure us doing it. And if this is one thing that makes it better for all of you guys, then we are for it!

We have been asked about maybe some Grudge racing among show cars down the track......well we have asked and it is not a problem. If you place your car in the show, your $10 will also let you go down the track. Although, you MUST pass tech & fill out a tech card as well. You will have to have your battery tied down and seat belts. If you are interested in this, please let us know at the registration table and we will get you a tech card as well.

Also, for all of you within the area. We would like to have a charity fundraiser at the event. Is there any of them that maybe you guys are involved in? Just looking to bring something to the table to help with something with the area or near and dear to our VW enthusiast.

Working on some classes for the awards, besides just a top 20. Any thoughts to help me out? I know many of you don't like the Top 20 thing, but we don't have enough in the show to justify full out classes.

We are planning on meeting in Griffin on Saturday at 12 to head south. We will be stopping by Bugeyed for their open house then heading to race go karts before the Steak n Shake Cruise-In. If anyone wants to go just let me know!
