Silver Dollar Showdown #8 March 8 in GA

This will be the 8th running of the Silver Dollar Showdown held at Silver Dollar Raceway in Reynolds, Ga (just 2 hours south of Atlanta)
March 8th, 2009
All VW Car show, drag Racing and swap meet!
This event features the Vintage Performance Street Car Challenge! Sponsored by Kawell Racing Engines and Vintage Performance.


Also that weekend, Mar 7th, the BKC Dyno Day held at Allspeed Imports in Peachtree City, presented by Raby's Aircooled Technology and hosted by the BKC.

Just a few months away from the Season Opener for VW Drag Racing in the Southeast! Make sure you mark your calendars for a weekend full of VW fun! It all starts on Saturday the 7th with the BKC Dyno Day in Peachtree City, Ga at Allspeed Imports, then Silver Dollar Showdown at Silver Dollar Raceway in Reynolds, Ga on Sunday!

The event will have 3 Bracket Classes and the popular Vintage Performance Street Challenge! Do you have have a fast Street Car? This is the class to come and join other VW enthusiasts and see who is the the fastest! Always a lot of fun!

Don't forget the New Vendor & used swap meet section! Got lots of VW stuff just sitting around the house/shop? Bring them out and get your junk sold! $35 get you in the gate and a swap space. Plenty of action in the show car area, whether it be a Vintage pristine Single Cab , Rat Rod or some later model watercooled versions. Let's see what you got! Thinking about trying to bring two cars...

Just so you all know, the seems to be a Movie being produced around the Perry area!
I called the Holiday Inn and she said that half of the motel is already booked with the Film Crew and such, soooooooooooo you know what this means. They will see all of you and who knows what can happen after that! LOL
I don't know what the film is about, but I am going to find out! Laughing

Holiday Inn has the Same rate as last year $75 and you get a free Hot Breakfast for everyone in the room.
I will get all the information posted on the site and also the two motels on each side of the Holiday Inn. They are $45 a piece.

I hope this show happens during the two weeks, every six months, that my car is running.

I'm gonna be there.....even if it needs a tow bar to make it happen I can hardly wait!

Some of us from Augusta will be there. We stay at the Days Inn in Byron. Rooms are a little cheaper and it's closer to the show.

i will be there like allwayse maby with two cars who knows
the sploval might be in sportsman calss if cave gets his stuff together
if not there is street challange with the BKC boys

yes camping will be available at the track.

where are you at in atl i wouldnt mind getting it for you ill be in the caddy anyway but im not 100% sure im going yet
