Im not going to run those tires. I honestly dont know what size i will run. You can leave the 80 mph. Stock looking is better for me.

Nice! That was the second time that needle has broken. The first time, somehow I was able to actually take one off an old speedo and put it on mine. Probably weekened it as most of them break before they come off.

This project is taking longer than I wanted it to. Finally got the tranny swapped. Pulled the axles out of the old split case, which requires splitting the tranny. Put on one piece boots. Took me several hours to get the torsions apart to lower it. They have never been apart but finally got it down one click. Sure looks low with only one click down. Never lowered an oval so maybe they are different. Here it is back on its wheels with no engine. Rear end sat right down. I hope it's not too low.

The cosmics (cosmos) came from moore parts in california. They are made by empi and are nice quality. $109 each with free shipping. Here is the link for wide 5's

Finally shoe horned the engine in. It's really in mock up but it's there. Dang is it low in the back now!

Engine is in and wired. Got my new tires today. Got the cosmics bolted up and the lug bolts hit my brakes. Ugh. Always something.

Thanks for all the feedback. This has Been a slow go. This car has never been modified. I have owned it for 23 years and it has always had a 36 horse and split case tranny. It is a solid car. The last guy that painted it really messed it up. The clear is coming off and the hood peeled down to the metal. The crack at the bottom caused by the hood prop wasn't fixed properly so it looks terrible and cracked even worse. I will get it all fixed eventually but I just want to drive it again. It has Been kicking and screaming at the modifications but I'm getting close.

Wow. The 57 is looking great. Cant wait to see it on the road. Looks like you've got the hard work done, but if you need a hand just let me know.
