It looks better in the pics. The guy i had paint it years ago didnt do very well so it needs some work. BUT, that isnt going to stop me. After a lot of thought and battling my inner purist, i think i am going to do an engine and tranny transplant and just drive the thing. The 36 horse has some problems and i just cant find the time, money, or parts to fix it so i am going to put my other 1776 in it.

No, they are the real deal. The pic looks like that because the tire bead came off the rim. I have had those tires for about 17 years. Ordered them from Coker. Put a lot of miles on that car and the tread looks brand new. Unfortunately they have terrible flat spots on them (sweet bias ply), and although I am not afraid to use older tires past their expiration date, I think it is time to let these go.

Yeah, worked at Pirelli for 7 years and I can tell you tires beyond expiration date are fine. What's the size of those?
