I got the ones for my bus from Andover and really like them. Mine are 3point retractables, but they also have have 2 point in retractable and non retractable models. They are available in a lot of colors and have chrome buckles (which you can put a wolfsburg crest on). The ones from Andover are great, cause you can specify the actual length you want.

Non-retractable

Your 66 should have a shoulder mounting point, I know you are looking for 2-point, but I'd strongly recommend getting 3-points since your face is so close to the windshield in a beetle.

You wouldn't know if a '62 had those shoulder mounts would ya?
My 63 had mounts there, but I cannot seem to feel the indentation on this dec 1961 made beetle.
Thanks,
KC

Yes, 62 definitely had the shoulder mounts. My bug is a very very early 62 and it has them.

I have that same set of seatbelts in mine, but they are black.
The PO installed the top mount for the 3 point at the back seat belt mount under the back seat.... awkward.
Would you mind measuring the distance from the bottom of the window along the seam to the approximate center of the bolt?
I'll poke around with a dental tool untill I find the void under the vinyl.
The '63's owner's manual showed the optional seat belts very well.
The '62 manual I have doesn't show any seat belts at all...

I got my lap belts from Wagon Wreck they had many to choose from and they looked great.

I don't mind, but the car is currently tucked away in my parents basement, so I'm not sure when I'll get back over there. Maybe Callahan can get you a measurement.
The belts in my bug came from Jbugs. They are great....except they only came in one length, and they are way too long. The retractor can only hold so much material, so when you get out of the car and undo the seatbelt, the retractor fills up and stops retracting before the seat belt is fully tight against b pillar. That's why I really like the ones from Andover (which look identical), cause you specify how long you want the material to be and avoid this problem.
Sorry for the slight thread hijack Patrick, but it's still good info
