My newest project, 61 Manx style Buggy.
This cool little buggy was given to me by a friend. I can't wait to get going on it. I think it'll be a very cool tool for Bugs4Christ, not to mention fun to drive. I'm hoping to do it up where we can use it in parades, when we go speak at Churches, etc. It'll also be good to take camping when I go with the family.
It's all there, engine was running just a couple of years ago. Body doesn't need anything but paint, all the fiberglass is amazing. It also has the fiberglass hardtop, very cool to me. I've never seen a Buggy with a grill on the front like this one, and I kind of like it. The person that gave it to me had named it Herman, cause it looked like the Munster mobile in the front. Not sure what I'm going with for a name.
It had the Chevy/Camaro SS rims on it when I got it, but we have a full set of old Keystone Classics at the shop that I might use. We mounted one on the rear to see what it looked like, and I think it fits the Buggy perfectly. We'll see though. It's on a 61 Pan, needs floors, but everything else it pretty solid. Hopefully won't be a very long build, but we'll see.
