Local Steel Supplier

hi yall. does anyone know of any steel suppliers local to the atlanta area, preferable closer to the stockbridge, ellenwood, forest park area? i need some tubing for my sandrail project soon, and i also need some for a cage i am going to build for my benz bug, along with random sheetmetal for misc stuff i would need. thanks

The only 2 I have dealt with are Gem City here in marietta, nice guys small operation. And one down in Atl., now that the heat is on cannot remember their name. Can drive you there, off 285 down atl rd, take a rt on Marietta st? and go down and take a rt on a road at a light. Helpfull huh!! I will pick my brain and see if I can remember their name and post it up. The latter is a bigger company and probably cheaper than Gem City. But pick up all my personal stock from Gem just because of the drive.

Got my tubing from Fastenall in McDonough. It was pretty cheap as I recall.

awsome, thanks. i'll try fastenall, since its closer to me, then try gem city (since its twice as far ). and compare who's cheaper. The downtown one sounds good, too, and prolly closer then the other two. Can't wait till you finish picking your brain .

OMG, i found a fasten all near hartsfield airport, its so much closer to my house. awsome. I'm going over there hopefully 2morrow. thanks guys.
