19?? Mud Buggy

I thought I would share some photos of my first VW I restored nine years ago. I won the thing off ebay for $100 and had to drive to Tenn to get it. I am looking for some photos of what it originally looked like but they must be on another computer. I'm not really sure what year it is. I built a single port engine for it. It has a short spline swing arm rear end and a ball joint front end. The pan does have a vin number so I will have to see what year the pan is. I have used and abused the crap out of this thing and it still runs strong to this day. The only problems I have ever had with it were a few ball joints and my brother-in-law ripped out first gear trying to hot-rod it. I love this thing and don't know if I will ever be able to let it go. I know it's an ugly duck but its my ugly duck.
