If I can get that valve replaced and just do my connecting rods as some are past the murrs guide so. Replace those and just that valve will save me a penny and can get jack back out on the road ASAP. Miss not driving the bug in this warm weather

replace all of the valves. not too expensive. and if you have an oven, and a can of liquid nitrogen, you can do the valve guides yourself. not hard, i've done it a few times. i just used a 1/4 extension (the fat part), to pound them out. to install i just froze the guides in the freezer overnight, and when i was ready, i put the heads in the oven, and crank that bitch as high as it will go, and as soon as you take the heads out, give the guides a quick spray of nitrogen, and put the guides in. some light tapping and they go right in.
