This is my favorite spot so far and it was a pain to do
Mine too Gary. So cool, you're always thinking outside the box man. Car has a nice shine to it also. What grit paper and Wax did you use?
Awesomeness!
Re: 1969 Bug (Jenny)
Thanks!
Believe it or not I used a 200 then a 320. I never went any finer than the 320 and I used Turtle wax med compound to buff with then a quick polish with Turtle wax. I did all the sanding and Jason did all the buffing except the hood and fender I did.

Re: 1969 Bug (Jenny)
Thanks guys! I'm real happy with the way it turned out and I love having the logo on the side. People just love it...especially kids
I want to put some stock wheels back on it in 4.5 & 5.5 done in red. Just want to get more of that "hot rod/ rat rod" look and I think red wheels will do it.

Raised the rear up one inner spline today. Now she has that rake I love and the ride is great!
Re: 1969 Bug (Jenny)
Looks good!
That looks close to the stance on my 71. I think the later models look better with a little rake.....

Re: 1969 Bug (Jenny)
Thanks everybody
I would like it a little lower in the front but thats as low as she will go with this beam. Will probably change beams again eventually
