I am wanting to do a Volksrod...
Probably next year after the Ghia.

gonna take forever to sand this thing to get it ready for paint. theres about 8 layers of paint on here

i'd leave it. that looks pretty sweet like it is everyone chops their volksrods

If you do end up chopping it I have a few doors I'll give you. The bottoms are rusted out but the window sections have some good donor metal.

callahan, yeah the more i look at it the more i wouldnt mind leaving it, but i dont know how to weld or anything and i have some friends that can teach me so chopping it could be a fun learning project for me.

Leave it black and sanded / clear coated look is great!
