You know Eric, if you're not dripping oil, then you probably don't have any oil in there. So when it doesn't leave a mark you should put some oil back in it. Old Volkswagens don't leak oil, they mark thier spot.

Haha, that's what I hear (but it doesn't make me like it). This motor barely has over 5K miles on it. I don't think it's anything serious, but it bugs the hell out of me! affraid

I'm with you. I don't care how old the motor is, I don't want to see any leaks

Post by Attorney Isaiah Loophole Sat Jan 23, 2010 6:02 pm

Had a great time today!

I did have a hiccup on the way home. Right after Bob and Eric pulled off the car started shaking real bad. I thought that I had a flat so I pulled over. All the tires were good and the wheels were tight. So I got back in and decided I would try and make it home. Well the shimmy stopped a little ways down the road but when I came to stops the car had a knocking sound but it went away by just idling the engine up a little.

Well I just got home and thought that it might be the tranny mounts so I grabbed the exhaust and gave it a shake up and down. Sure enough the whole engine and trannly moved a little. The front mount has either broken or the bolts have come loose. I guess I will get it up in the air tomorrow or Monday and see.....

April, myself and ALL of the kids had a great time,Cole and I had a GREAT ride in old 53 on the long slow journey up. It was way to cool to spend time with him and just listen to him talk about all that is important in a little 8 yr olds life.
We left early to go see family we hadn't seen in awhile, and to go to Hobby town USA and that is one cool place. BOY traffic is a B''''' up there geez it took us 10 min just to get to the red light off Barrett PKY and another 15 to get to the hobby store. and all this normally would take 5 min's just a few years ago.

See you all soon

Ah yeah, that area is packed. I live close by and its a pain to get in and out. Next year will give you directions to get in via back roads! My daughter used to work near the Hobby store and had to find a better way to get in and out!! If you would have went out 92 there is another hobby lobby with 1/10th the traffic to get to. Corner of 92 and Bells Ferry.

I used to live off of Bells Ferry Rd. some 15 yrs ago, and have some knowledge of the back roads like using Chastain, I just didn't think it had gotten that bad. I thought it was funny when my oldest son told me to look at what others had done, I asked what was that and he said "go into the left hand turn lane and go to the red light then turn right", I thought that was funny.

NEXT time we should meet at the Varsity off that exit or just go to the REAL Varsity and park on the upper deck.

I do love the area but man the traffic reminded me of ATL & 285 at 5:00
