73 Karmann Ghia
Here are a few pics of my daily.
When I arrived in Atlanta a little over a year ago I went downtown and purchased a bed and a volkswagen. What more does a man need?
We have been to the lake.
We have been trainspotting.
We have braved the elements.
I got bored of the wheels and the ride height.
Just chillin in the woods last weekend.
Cheers.

Re: 73 Karmann Ghia
Good looking Ghia.
You could have skipped the one with the train. I worked at a plant here for over 20 years buiding those railcars.

Re: 73 Karmann Ghia
It's running! It's ok but could be better. It is leaking from the dizzy again, same place as before; out of the pressed-in plate in the body (009). It also looks like it is leaking again from the flywheel seal. Now if the supplier did what he claims he did, and put a quality seal in when he replaced it, as opposed to the cheap one he apparently put in the first time, and I know my input shaft is straight, my conclusion is the seal has melted due to the excessive running temperature of the engine. I know it is running way too hot, I don't know how hot but I have ordered one of those temperature dipsticks from Gene Berg. I hope to have that tomorrow so I am hoping that will give me some idea. Alternator belt is ok, I havn't looked at the timing yet but I guess that will be next. There are some gaps in the cheap Taiwan tinware that doesn't fit together properly but I would be surprised if that is the only reason why it is getting so hot.
