NEW Dub in Dallas

hey all my name is Daniel Walker i got a 68 bug a few days ago fist dub and it is a nice one from what i have been able to see. the engine and all important working parts were all rebuilt or replaced last fall. 1641 with a scat carb and some sort of aftermarket header and single glasspack (if you can tell let me know lol). interior has new seats with the original 68 material as well as steering wheel and headliner. full carpets. new heat channels and floor pans. new brakes and cylinders all around. kenwood head unit with the ipod hook up and 6x9 speakers. genuine mexican shelf under the dash. basicaally its a good daily driver with some pep. way better pics later i just snapped these with phone couldnt wait.

and i have been told the wheels are super rare?

Good job, Daniel. I like the car. And way to go on that trade to get rid of the Honda. you know you just made it harder on me to get Drew another car, because Drew's mom doesn't want him to have another Bug.

Nice car and welcome to the forums!! The wheels look like Ansen Sprints, I wouldn't say they are super rare, but you don't see them everyday. I would roll them for sure!!

ya man we live in dallas, i am close to the stars n strikes bowling alley if that helps lol. oh and baker hooked me up with a stinger check the sound!

sure thing man, back when school was in i saw your yellow porsche bug quite a few times, maybe we should have some sort of meet or whatever, if not at work kyle is with me and we're cruisin. But since this bug is my daily now, if something big goes wrong im F***ED. Unless i get some help haha.

Honestly no matter how much i love the bug, i still miss my honda. They are great cars. I will for sure pick up a hatch or a crx and do a turbo build, but that will be later on

That was me. Dont get me wrong i am a previous Honda owner. Bought it new in 94 Accord. Kept it 10 years and it ran after all those uears like it was new. Started a family so we needed something bigger (SUV).
Good luck with the car and the sickness will grow inside of you for the VW's. They truly are a great car and you will learn there little secrets they store in them. There is alot of help in your area so dont be afraid to ask for help. I want to try and get a few of us together one evening and meet at Starbucks at the Avenue at West Cobb on Dallas Hwy. Some of us always go to the cruse nights on the Satudays.

Where do you live at exactly? Just woundering.

Yes the one inside Barnes and Nobles. Have great setting outside and the spectators viewing should be great. What evenings are good for you?

MAYBE thursday got stuff goin on tomorrow and i work friday. also maybe this weekend. if its this weekend hopefully kyle gets that purple 72 and we will roll up together.
