new guy from dallas

hi my name is james. live off of east paulding drive just past the old dragstrip. im 27, married, kid on the way, work for mercedes, RBM of Atlanta. i have driven vw since i could drive, had a 72 super beetle in high school. i have a 68 beetle now. i also have a custom trike that i built. the beetle is stock single port 1600, front disc brakes, dropped spindles and 135's on the front, with a couple little cosmetic items but nothing crazy. the trike is about 12 feet long, vintage springer front end, fat bob tanks, freeway flyer trans, 1776 motor, 15x10 baby moons on the back with disc brakes. favorite vw is a fridolin type 147 but im not made of money so that one is safely parked in my dreams. heard about this site from some guys i met at a show i was passing by that is at the bank parking lot on dallas and east west connector.

thanks guys, hate to sound like a broken record because ive already posted this in some other sections but caffeine and octane this sunday, a must see, let me know if anyone wants to go, meeting with some other vw guys at the marietta square at 7:30 am to ride in all at once.

how far is it from the square?

about 10 miles? maybe closer? it doesnt take long to get there from the square.
