I can not put in words how much Rich will be missed. Rich was a good friend and active VW Lover. His high energy personality and antics made him someone who was hard to forget at VW shows and Campouts. Donations are welcome to help his wife and family with funeral arrangments. https://www.gofundme.com/richwillard

Below Is An Official Statement from the Father-In-Law, Bishop Adam McNatt:

Monday, November 30th, 2015 around 8:00 P.M. our family experienced a terrible tragedy. Our Son-In-Law, Richard Willard, husband to Vanessa Willard (McNatt), unexpectedly ended his own life. This was truly a life that ended way too soon.

Richard fought many battles in his own life and dealt with numerous tragedies that often consumed his thoughts. However, the greatest thing about Rich was his heart to serve and his unlimited potential that was always evident to those who loved him most.

As we mourn the loss of this young man who is near and dear to our hearts we ask that you keep our family and the Willard family lifted in prayer. We are saddened by this outcome that leaves us wishing Rich would have seen in himself the greatness we always knew he had within.

We ask that you honor the memory of Rich Willard by speaking and sharing about the great things he accomplished. Remember the countless lives he blessed and made a positive impact on. Remind others of the qualities and characteristics he would want to be known by. Show respect to the family by recognizing Rich as the young man we knew and loved.

Psalm 34:18-19 “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”

Bishop Adam W. McNatt

P.S. Details about services will follow once arrangements have been made.

Too early indeed. Loved that guy. Gonna miss him terribly. Many of you already know I have his car at my shop. We will be tearing the engine down soon to figure out what went wrong with it and make a list of parts that will be needed to get it going again. Also, we will be tearing the car back down for paint. When we have a day set for that, we will open the shop to anyone that would like to help tear it down and get it ready for paint. Hope to ha e it done and back together to present it back to Vanessa at or before Cruise the Coop on March 12, 2016. Anyone that has the time or resources to help out with this project can contact me at 404-425-8600 or Drew at 770-865-6394. Thanks, Tim
