Re: 1961 Gulf Blue Ragtop
Haven't driven the car with them on yet. I just got them yesterday and installed them then started working on my seats. I am hoping by next week I will have the interior in. I would like to fix the radio hole before the interior goes in so we will see.....

From what I can tell they are very stable at speed. The only complaint I have is the knob is too small....
Re: 1961 Gulf Blue Ragtop
I finally got the seat frames blasted and primed. I got the front seat frames painted with Ford tractor gray. I have to repair some of the tabs on the rear seat back rest before I can paint it. The color is actually between the first two photos. Not sure why one looks so white and the other so gray.....Tonight I got the front seat springs covered with canvas, new pads installed and new covers fitted. Turned out decent.

Seats look great, very professional looking, who made the seat covers?

Re: 1961 Gulf Blue Ragtop
Thanks just now to finish the backrest. I got the new tabs welded on today but too cold for paint....
Re: 1961 Gulf Blue Ragtop
I replaced 6 broken tabs on the rear seat backrest today. I also got it primed and hopefully tomorrow paint. I also sand blasted and primed the e-brake handle and rear seat support bar. I am going to paint them the same as the seat frames.

Re: 1961 Gulf Blue Ragtop
I got the rear panels in, the back seat back rest covered and the seats installed. I hope to get the front panels in tomorrow and if I do I will get some better pictures.....
Re: 1961 Gulf Blue Ragtop
Panels, arm rests and seats are in!

I really need to re-do my front seats. Those TMI covers worth the money? Were they pretty easy to install?

X2. The TMI covers are great and hold up VERY good. Like above, get the foam padding. The one trick I use it to insert a wire coat hanger in the bottom that goes over the spikes. Keeps it shaped nicely and gives the spikes something to pull on other than vinyl.

Also use plastic to cover the foam so the covers slide on easy. I used a cut up trash bag. Also put the cover you will be using in the dryer for a few minutes to get it nice and flexible.
