ENGINE COMPARTMENT RUBBER
i'm getting ready to do a couple engine swaps and was wondering how hard it is to change the rubber around the engine tins and breast plate. do you do it before or after the engine install.

Re: ENGINE COMPARTMENT RUBBER
And it kinda sucks to do! I have to do mine in my bug soon. If the channel the seal slides in is in good shape, it's not too bad, but usually the channels are rotted and banged up and it's hard to slide the new seal in.

Re: ENGINE COMPARTMENT RUBBER
just take the time to go around and open up the track for the seal to slide into

Re: ENGINE COMPARTMENT RUBBER
actually got one of them done, wasn't that bad. the worst part was going around the corners. I just pressed the rubber into the bottom part of the channel and used a wide bladed screw driver to press the rubber into the top groove. now if I could just get more pedal on my brakes
