SouthernWorthersee aka SoWo 2014

I know this show is mostly "modern h2o" cars but it is an awesome event with over 4,000 VW's. We had a great time last year and there was a small batch of aircooled cars representing 'the roots'. Just curious if anyone from Georgia Dubs is planning on going up to Helen this year?

Give up the info. This is one crazy event VW's Gone Wild not for the weak at heart or wallet good times.

Since Jenny missed BAP, I was planning on driving her up to Helen for this, would I be better suited in the '05 Passat Wagon?

Great! Would love to get a prime spot on the EdleweissStrasse each day (like Kale & the DripnDrivers had last year) and it sounds like we will have a handful of aircooled folks to stake a claim. Apparently there is going to be a change to the cruise strip (small fee to drive there) this year. Not much info on the website ( http://www.southernworthersee.com ) but saw a few things on random VW forums.
I am camping at Unicoi in the bus. Finding lodging at this late date may present a challenge but I know there are plenty of campsites still available. Only a month away...

We stay at a Private Resort with camping,chalets,cabins etc. Its not open to public but we have connection and can reserve for anybody that needs a place too stay. Chalets and Lodges are $55.00 a Night plus your required to have a $5 amenities pass per person. Theres a indoor pool and hot tub,lake,horseback riding And a Diner that has great food. Place is really nice. We go all the time. Its quite as well.

Looking forward to this weekend. Camping at Unicoi as well.

Definitely looking forward to this weekend. Where is everyone planning to park? Street or show grounds. I'd like to be amongst other air cooleds if possible.

We all park on Eldelweiss. Near the park. I am registered to show but think i am just gonna park and hang out in same area like last year. They wont judge registered cars unless in the show area. Not a big deal to me i just like hanging out where all the action is.

I hope to be parked on the Edelweiss by early afternoon on Friday. Great place to hang out.
 
Garrett, are you getting married at SoWo or am I thinking wrong?? If memory serves me right (and God knows it might be wrong) this was either your wedding shindig or honeymoon weekend or something... either way, first beer is on me!  

Yes sir you are correct. After 3pm Friday I'll have to ask permission to drink lol. I'll take you up on that beer tho. I just want a sowo sticker...... long as I get that Eldleweiss works for me. How early are you guys planning to get there?
