Throwing Money at Unsafe Beam Build

Measured inside of tube with tape and it appears to be 2.5". Need a better tool for measurment. I am not a fabricator of any sort.

A caliper would show exact.

Looking for help,solution other than complete replacement... anything....

Yeah you really need a caliper....my thought process was maybe something happened on the very end to throw the measurement off....i would check the od of the tube somewhere in the center and see if it is 2.5" or since you dont have a caliper measure the circumference with a string....then divide it by 3.14 and see what you get for the diameter

Bought some Wagens West Bushings. They may have to be milled down but if thats the case at least i wont have to remove entire beam. As many of you may or may not know Removing and reinstalling bus beams is a very involved and a pain in the butt job unlike a Beetle Beam. See how it goes when they arrive.

Got Welds Fixed on Spindles. Solid units now. Some before and after shots.

Those welds are weak.
Yes I can say that, I weld and am an engineer.
You did the right thing having them changed.

Looks like the welds are the strongest part of the spindle now.

just curious, but who did the work? Is it someone on here? PM me if you'd prefer to not say to everyone (even tho you (or someone) said everyone already knows, XD)
