selling car advice

dudes here have amped up my desire for an old truck but i need to sell my other car 1st.

How do you go about selling a car your still making payments on? I cant afford to just pay it off 1st.

Try Carmax. Dealers are paying for good cars in that range. Other than that put a sign in it or Craigslist, just be upfront that you have a loan on it and if someone is interested then find a local branch of your bank or find out how your bank handles that. I sold one like that and fortunately they took a loan as well do their bank dealt with mine and once my bank emailed the ok I turned over the vehicle.

I got an estimate from Carmax once. It was about 3k less than the trade in on Kelly Blue Book. It was insulting to be honest.

Yeah- have them meet you at the bank, know what the payoff is beforehand. The bank will release the title when the amount owed is paid off, and you get your equity out of it.
