Sharpie art/ need advice Empty Sharpie art/ need advice

im doing some sharpie art on my car, and its going to take a long time. could i cover each section as i finish with a canned fixative and then clear coat all at one time or should i clear coat separate panels as i finish drawing? not sure how clear coat will work over a fixative
