Type 1 Heater Boxes
Ok I've got all Type 1 stuff for Moto including heater boxes. But the lever is not in the right spot to connect to the cables. What have folks done in the past to make this work. I took a box apart tonight to look and see if I could just rearrange the arm but shaft is welded to the flapper arm inside.
Re: Type 1 Heater Boxes
ill have to look and see how i ran mine on my doublecab i think i still have the boxes in the garage

Re: Type 1 Heater Boxes
Irma doesn't have any heat installed...
I mean nada, nothing, zip, zilch...
Shroud doesn't even have blower ports, no heater boxes ( I have 2 good sets) and no cables.
Gonna have to cure that soon.

Bus Boxes or just Boxes? I don't want to wire it open, would like for it to work properly.

Re: Type 1 Heater Boxes
I am currently using the wire it open method Bob. Have new cables that I need to install but that will require I don't know what? Pulled one old cable out of snake bus and it was a Bit$h. Do you have operating cable's?

Re: Type 1 Heater Boxes
Yes, I have working cables. You would have to fish the new cable(s) through the tube running to the back and then up to the dash behind all the vents in the front. Should be an easy task I would think.
Re: Type 1 Heater Boxes
I've got 4 small electric heaters, and a universal gasket on the hood that actually SEALS the hood, XD. Instant heat, and it'll run you out of the car if you don't crack the windows after a while

Re: Type 1 Heater Boxes
If you have the incorrect boxes then use the oldfashion metal coat hanger trick. Use a barrel nut and coat hanger at heater box end then put a barrel nut on cable end and tightend. Cut to lenght coat hanger just past the cable and barrel nut. Then loop coat hanger neatly around bolt of barrel nut. Then test heater cable it should pull open heater box and wala heat. otherwise start looking for some better boxes for propane heater
