My name is Mike Fisher and I own 3 VW's a 65 bus, 63 beetle and a 62 ragtop beetle. I have been around and attended a few shows, but I have spent most of my time hanging out with Billie, Ben and Michael from Stockornaut. My Dad and brothers also have VW's that we all work on in my storage area in Alpharetta as guys who love the hobby. My dad has a 65 beetle, my youngest brother has a 63 beetle and my other brother has a 62 beetle. We are working hard to get our heard rolling so we can be out there cruising this summer.

Welcome to the show. Did you get your motor problem fixed?

Looks like we are going to try to change the piston rings out to see if that fixes it. If that does not fix it, I'm going to take both motors to Steve Sands to get them checked out.

I thought about doing that. Now I'm turning my 1968cc into a 2110. Try the rings and see what happens. That fixed mine but I want bigger.

I did a 2332 after that one and it's a beast but leaking oil too! I hate to say it, but it might just be too fast! It's scary and burns gas like the stuff is free! With that said, it sounds great and is really fun to drive. I think good brakes is the next project after getting the leak stopped.

Thanks. It's nice talking to other VW owners who love the hobby like I do.

I hope to be at one soon. We are working on my Dad's 65 day and night and have it just about ready for paint. After that one it's lowering the bus and putting the bus motor back together. I need more time on the hobby and less time at work, but you know how that goes.
