Looks great! Are you putting vent windows back in or going with one-piece windows?

Re: Posting a picture of my '57 Ragtop
Looking good!! You need to hurry up and finish it. Then you won't have to tow it to Starbucks the next time........
Its four lug because it is on a later pan. It was more common to do that conversion in the 80's - early 90's. That way you get the styling of the older bug without the crappy ride!!

Gearing yes but ride that is debatable....
Re: Posting a picture of my '57 Ragtop
Thanks, everyone, it's 4 lug because it's on a '68 pan. Going from a '57 pan to a '68 pan allowed me to go to a synchronized transaxle, dual circuit master cylinder, Ghia discs with drop spindles, and Type 3 rear brakes. Also picked up a steering damper, the '57's didn't come with one. The Bug has an 1850 motor, Transform freeway flier transaxle, and a camber compensator with KYB gas shocks all the way around so it rides and handles and stops.
I'm building an Old School California Look Bug, dechromed, one piece windows, solid color paint, and euro blade bumpers. It's got real 2.0 litre Porsche alloys that have ben chromed running real Michelin 135's in front and real Michelin 165's in the rear.
What's holding me up is that I need to get the ragtop headliner installed before I can pull all the glass back in, and then tend to a few mechanical isues (like geting my 40 Delloroto's rebuilt and getting an A-1 sidewinder exhaust). But I may throw my attention towards my '67 Bug, it's been off the road since 1995.

I like the smoothed hood with the crest. Haven't seen that before.

Re: Posting a picture of my '57 Ragtop
Thanks, when I was dechroming the hood I came down to the Wolfsburg crest, pulled it out of the trim bezel that starts the vertical trim on the hood, made a gasket for it and stuck it back on. VW quit using the crest in the early 60's, but I thought it added the right jewelry to the front of the car.

Re: Posting a picture of my '57 Ragtop
Did anyone notice the bumper over rider holes are gone? I'm going to run the euro blade bumpers, and I welded plates in to the upper bumper bracket holes to get rid of them too.
