Long Time Lurker saying Hello

Hey Guys,
I have been lurking here for a while now and although I am still without a VW, I figured I would introduce myself.
My Name is Phillip and I live in McDonough. I met Bumblebuggy a while back and he mentioned the site. I hang out on 914world and Pelican parts alot so I have not spent as much time here.
I have a few Cars I play with currently. I just finished restoring a 74 914. I did all the work on it in my garage, Had a buddy spray it that is a hi-end painter in my garage with a make shift booth. During that time I kept thinking how I have been wanting a Split window Bus and how we could do it in my garage. I plan on having a pre 67 bug and Split Bus in the Future so hopefully I can swing out to a few of your gatherings, unless you will allow a Porsche to hang out.I am running the euro emblem on the 914 so it does wear a VW badge if that counts.

Thanks Guys. Yeah the Carrera is Viper Green. It is acually a 1980 Backdated with 73 parts. I did it about 3 years ago. I did everything but the paint on it.

Welcome. Nice cars! I had a 74 911 S in the late 80's. I loved driving that car. I will have another one day. Looking forward to seeing yours in person. Also looking forward to maybe working out a deal on some paint for my singlecab.

Just made the roundtrip to pick up this 66 Split. Will do a thread in the 60's area. Finally found one after several years of looking.Looking forward to getting my hands dirty wiht this one.

Mine was Sea Blue/Cumulus White just like that originally. Does it have an Aero/Papyrus interior?

Thanks, Yes some of the Aero/Papyrus is there. I started a thread in the 60's. to keep up with the changes coming.
