I had to put 1 on a 58 that didn't have the correct hood. I t was from a 63-67 and also had the hump for the VW emblem. I measured up from the hood handle to the holes for the crest from Drew 61 and drilled 2 small holes at the top and bottom of each slot, then carefully drilled holes in between until I was able to connect them all with the drill bit. Just take your time and don't put too much pressure on the bit as to not break it. You might be able to find someone local to let you make a template from there hood. Good luck.

Here's a few pics I had put on a thread on the Samba a while back. Maybe they will help. This is from my 62 hood.

Well, that's quite simple Pete. Just use this easy formula to convert inches to mm

[(sinx)(sin2x)+(sin3x)(sin6x)]
---------------------------------- X tanx +1 ((y^4+6y-1)/(y^2+5))
[(sinx)(sin2x)-(sin3x)(sin6x)]
