Oval convertibles came with a grab handle. I've been told they were an option on Deluxe models also. Look alot different than the 60s model handle though. I've had one oval that had one.

that grab handle is a bit larger than your typical grab handle too.

bumped into Pippi's twin at Jason's Deli near Northlake. This bus has been used and abused but not well loved.

a guy in a really nice bug vert (i think it was a 68 or 69) came to work today. it was beige, with flames on the hood, and a 1776 motor. SUPER clean interior, with a really nice wood grain steering wheel. also had a nice set of 4 lug BRM wheels

also saw a diesel rabbit. the owner said he just got it. its been sitting. judging from the thickness of the dust, it appears to have been sitting in a garage for over 15 years, lol. he said he's gonna work on it but may never get it running. told him to hit me up if he gives up on it, lol.

saw a late model green beetle on marietta st. today, a yellow 68 on Donald E Hollowell at the library and a trike on veterans parkway

saw a bad ass rail today on cleaveland avenue going across 75. lime green and black. had some big rims (maybe 19's), painted the same color as the rail. wasn't very fast, and seemed like he was on it, couldn't see to many details, but had a single carb.

wasn't a dub but i saw a clean brand new m3 at the zebulon court house. looks like the economy isn't hurting everyone

We took the bus out for a few errands yesterday around Newnan and spotted this later model black vert at Dick's. Had Coweta tags, but I don't think I've ever seen it around before. Didn't get to close to it, but looked pretty nice from about 15' away.

A little after 4pm today, southbound on the downtown connector (just below Turner Field), we saw a blue/white 13 window deluxe with a white roofrack. Unfortunately it was off to the side of an on-ramp getting loaded up on a flatbed truck. Guess he had some trouble.

I know the owner. He lives in Stockbridge. It's a '75. He's getting his carb rebuilt and he'll be putting it up for sale soon. It's a nice bus but he's getting read to move cross country and can't move all his vehicles.

Beautiful day so I decided to run by my parents house and get the bug to do our errands with the top back. About 20 minutes ago we saw a sharp blue mid 60s sunroof bug on 34 in PTC heading towards newnan. I waved like crazy, but he never saw me.

Back in Newnan, this afternoon as we were leaving Belks around 4pm, we saw a super nice convertible ghia. Some lady who appeared in her late 30's driving it. This thing was sharp!!! Kinda a brownish green color. Unlike the car above we spotted earlier, this lady waved back.
