That's 0-60 in 4.52 seconds, damn good for a bug!

So how do traffic cameras deal with year of manufacture plates?

Ya'll are reading it wrong. That is 21 mph while running a light that had been red for 1.53 seconds. Seems like an expensive way to get pictures of your bug.

I was in my home town today visiting family. I made a run to the store and found a small junk yard with about 30 VW's. The splitty was the first thing I saw. It is a good base. Other than the drivers door it is pretty solid. I contacted the owner and he wants a grand for it. He said he has 5 bay campers & 8 split window buses. There are many more but he just named a few that I showed interest in. Hwy 72 and Hwy 28 Abbeville, South Carolina.

I found the magazine ad that the bus was in during it's resto. The inside was painted and the outside had primer. Shot for a t shirt distributor.

What: two tone bay window with curtains (i think it was a camper bus, but not sure). white on the top, and either black or dark blue on the bottom.

I just ordered from pop-eye's and went to the parking lot in zaxby's facing the road, thinking to my self "i wonder if i'll see any VW's". sure enough a few mins later that bay passed by. it either came from walmart, or from 138, and turning towards the highway/ brandsmart area. I was gonna chase him down to talk to him but i had all my food balenced everywhere, and there was way too much traffic, and i knew there was no way i would catch up, especially if he took the highway. I wonder if he's/ she's a member of this site, or the samba?

not an actuall vw, but there is a splitty bus on the project 961 homepage. its on the left side flash window that keeps cycling through different ads. its the last one. you can click on the last light blue, or purple square. its a red splitty panel, on a record, on wings. its just a drawing, but i thought yall would like it, lol

an astounding black rhd rag on whitewalls, getting on 575 from 92, and that thing was thumping, it actually shook my jetta in the next lane a little, assuming 63 from taillights, but who knows could have been a graft or change of lights, who ever it was my hats off to you, one sweet ride, makes me wish my oval was rhd ):

WOW!!! the last few days Ive been from Portland Or to Gallup NM. and in between there and here its been a VW sighting extravaganza!!!!
on the highway I-84 in Boise I saw a early 60's split window single cab, about 8-9 westies, 4-5 bugs, a couple ghia's and a few junk yards that had a few VW's but as usual no place to stop and check em all out, but its been a really cool week!!!! I LOVE THE WEST COAST
