2nd gear question.
Ok when i shift to second it always wants to try to go to reverse and grinds i replaced the shift coupler a few days ago and it stopped doing that all was good, just today it came back. Will the front shifter bushing be causing this?

Re: 2nd gear question.
yes the front bushing could be causing that or an incorrectly aligned shifter

Re: 2nd gear question.
are you talking about the shift rod bushing thats a PITA to get to? my shifter is doing the exact same thing. i've gotten in the habit of while shifting into second, a hold it closer to the right, because if i hold it to the left while shifting into second, it will grind.
I just got my steering fixed, and was soo pleased at how tight the steering is, i want everything to be nice and tight now, lol.

Re: 2nd gear question.
I had this problem with a scat shifter. I replaced the coupler at the rear of the shift rod, replaced the bushing in the tunnel at the shifter and also had to grind the screw holes on the shifter base to allow it to slide side to side a bit so that I could adjust the shifter position.
All has been working great for the past couple of weeks since doing all of this.
