'73 Tail lights Empty '73 Tail lights

Post by dub-ya Mon Sep 13, 2010 8:34 pm

Just starting on this resto, it was my late brothers car. I've never liked the big 'ol tail-lights and would like to do something different. Any ideas? I'm not looking to keep it stock BTW. Thanks for the advice.

Welcome Brent.

I'm x3 on the 68-72 tail lights. I think the 70-72 are larger but either way it will be better than those big ones. Just my .02.

I live off of 16, actually in Jenkinsburg. Do you have the rear fenders and tail lights from the '71? If you do how much would you want for the pair? I'm trying to get away from the big tail lights. Thanks.

i did the fender swap on my 74, i hated those elephant foot taillights, and the big bumpers (had to get creative with those).

i went with 70-72 lights (w/reflector) and later wished i had went with the 68-69 lights...

im not a big fan of the elephant feet either. CSP (http://www.csp-shop.com/cgi-bin/cshop2/front/shop_main.cgi?func=anzeige&wkid=59016052764&rub1=Electric&rub2=Lights%20and%20Bulbs%2CTail%20Lights%2CBug%2CComplete%20Taillight%20Units) has some really nice repros that dont look bad at all. i went the cost effective route and its one of the most asked questions about my car, "Where did those taillights come from?"
