Christmas Lights Empty Christmas Lights

Post by pwmcguire Sat Sep 10, 2011 8:38 pm

I just wanted to throw this out there and see if there was any interest. My other hobby is Christmas lights they are computer controlled and set to music. I live just north of Kennesaw. You pull up and tune your radio to my station and listen and watch. No one will ask for donations, I may be there talking to people. I will definately be out to see the vdub's. Here is an example, http://vimeo.com/8046525. This is my house, sorry for the poor video quality. My show starts Thanksgiving night and runs every evening till the end of the year. Everyone is welcome to come. I would like to set a date for a vdub night. I would like to see a bunch of vdub's roll past my house. I'd like to see this happen. I'll let you guys set the date. I'm not sure of the fall schedule of vw events.

Thanks
The Mcguire Family Christmas

X2. We have a few of these in Newnan that we go to every year. We love these things and will definitely try to make it out if a date gets set.

The stack house is one we try to go see each year in Alpharetta but I enjoy all of them. Any house with lights and music is a plus.

I would love to get a controller one day and give it a shot.

You have to buy a lighting controller you can find them on Ebay computer controlled - they get expensive depending on how many lights you are going to control.

Check this site out WWW.doityourselfchristmas.com This is for controllers you can build yourself. It Has a ton of information or If you have alot of cash or do not know how to solder. Check this site out www.lightorama.com. I built most of mine, purchased some from others. My setup is a mixture of different Renard controllers, Older Xmus 16 channels and newer 24 ss channels. A 24ss pcb, parts, enclosure and 24 extension cords is about 90 dollars that will give you 24 controlable channels up to 10 amps.
