lol...I wasn't trying to promote our show. I have a post on here just for it. All I was saying is I am going to make sure that isn't an issue. I have been trying to pay attention to what everybody complains about at shows we go to, then address those at our show. Sorry if it came across the wrong way. I had a great time at the show on Sat. and have every year. No show is perfect and not everyone is going to be happy with everything. We just have to listen to everyone and try and improve. Thats all I was trying to do

Re: Bugs At The Branch 3
Great show location and always enjoy it, the combination of everything there plus the vendors make it great. The awards always look great and are presented well. Most shows put a sticker or equipvalent whent the cars are reviewed / judged or rated.
I remember when the called for everyone to come to the stage, 5 people asking if the cars had been judged. It is also nice if someone drives a considerable distance or not to see someone come by and acknowledge the car with a thanks for attending the show.

Wow, that's very flattering to be thought of as a 13 year old girl! My skin cream is doing wonders!
I assisted in judging with a few other people and we were sure to see every single car. There were 36 cars registered. We walked around separately to view EACH car. 1-36. Then we walked as a group to discuss our findings for each class. There were a couple vehicles we WISHED had registered as there were so many great cars that showed up! I loved them all and if the trophies had been available, we would have wanted everyone to receive one. However, we had to choose one for each class. Some were unanimous votes, which meant we did not have to all hover over the cars as a group to decide. A couple we weren't sure on so we went together and looked closer. My apologies for not thanking anyone specifically as I know Audie stood at the stand and as people registered thanked them all for coming to the show.
If your feelings were hurt, it was not intentional by the judging group, or by Stockornaut. Please know that we did have a chance to look at all your cars and we gave the trophies to those vehicles we felt were the best.
As for the daily drivers, you are absolutely right. We could only go on what we knew and in the event we thought the car was a possible daily driver, we tried to find the owners to ask them. If you did not get asked, you a) already were receiving a trophy in another area and we did not want it to be like most shows where one person scoops up all the trophies b) we couldn't find you to ask or c) we didn't feel you were a front runner for daily.
I had a blast and I was so happy the weather was so perfect. AND the chili was amazing!!! Thanks Billie and everyone else for a great time! I hope that next year is even bigger, and I can assure you, if I am involved in the judging, I will make sure we put stickers on your card to let you know we stopped by! We were simply in stealth mode

Re: Bugs At The Branch 3
I thought the show was great. The only issue I witnessed was when show parking on the street became confusing- but they worked it out without any fists or crying. Maybe recruit a parking guru next year?
Sales were great, and I met a ton of new folks. Awesome show, Billie!

We couldn't stay for very long but we really enjoyed what were were able to see.
Re: Bugs At The Branch 3
I had a great time and look forward to this show every year. I work a lot of hours and can't get away for some of the bigger shows out of state that a lot of people go to. So this one is always one of my favorites for the year. I actually get my whole family to come to this show with me every year.
Thanks Billie for all your efforts.
And thanks Clyde for always having the parts I need.

Re: Bugs At The Branch 3
I just wanted to take a sec. to say thank you again to everyone that put this show on. I looked back at my post earlier and I wish I had never posted that. I really did have a great time at the show and I will be there again next year. I know Billie and the whole Stockornaut crew worked hard to make that show happen and I am thankful for that. I think we all need to start remembering that this is all for fun and we are all blessed more than we remember sometimes. There is a lot of people out there that would love to own a Bug and be able to go to shows like this but can't. Instead of being thankful for a beautiful day and a great show to hang with friends we chose to complain because we didn't "SEE" our cars get judged. Obviously I am as guilty as anyone and for that I am saying I'm sorry to everyone.
I just enjoyed hanging out with everyone and showing off our cars. I always look forward to that every chance I get. So again, Thank you to Stockornaut and anyone else that helped put this show on.

Second that:
Yep, good show and it has all you could ask for plus great weather well a little hot. Heck even had 3-4 of the classic crowd come over asking how to get into VW scene. Pretty cool
Thanks to those that put in the effort to make it happen.

Re: Bugs At The Branch 3
We just got lucky and bumped into a bunch of the guys from another club while driving up 85. I was trying to get Rachel to stand up out of the sunroof and take some better shots but she wisely convinced me that having your 13 year-old daughter hang out of a car wouldn't be safe or easy to explain to an officer.
The only thing I didn't like about the pictures was a certain yellow Westy was not in any of them. But I'll get her on the road for the show this weekend.

People always confuse "bug" with "VW' alot. I do all the time. I always say "bug shop", instead "VW Shop", lol.
